Artist Statement
A whiteout - nothing else matters. A blanking out of everything
apart from the point of desire.
My work deals with peoples wants and desires and the consequent
transfering of value onto fundamentally meaningless objects.
Compositional space is used within the pieces to re-iterate
the empty nature of this consumerism. While the contrast
between the freely drawn figures and the realistically rendered
fabric plays with the idea of what is real and not real.
