Artist Statement
white linen, cotton and silk,
fresh powdered snow and snow capped peaks,
haze, avalanches and frost on cold winter days,
morning light on bleached white sand, white crested waves
and cotton wool clouds;
egg white, merang, marshmallow and coconut,
white magnolias and biancospino,
marble, alabaster and plaster,
chalk, whiting and zinc,
porcelain, china and lime dust;
caryatids, hellenic marbles,
fluted columns and convoluted cornices;
finely sifted flour, sugar, icing and milk,
titanium white, warm white, cool white,
arctic white, italian white,
white heat and silent dawns,
bubble baths and creamy soap suds,
white reliefs and paper intaglio,
spotted calla lilies with lime green stems.
